What is freedom, an in particular financial freedom? Did you ever wonder why some people in this world create wild success for themselves, when the dreams of the majority remain just that...
a dream? Discover "true" personal freedom and what it takes to get there.
It may surprise you to learn that in 2007, only 10% of the people in the United States earned more than $100,000.
When I first heard of statistics like this one, I was truly amazed.
I figured that at my annual salary of $102,000, I was in the "middle of the road", but to learn that I was in the top 10% of the people in this country, I couldn't believe it! It made me really wonder what an even smaller percentage was doing to get to hundreds of thousands, even millions of dollars at their disposal.
It was then that I began down the path of freedom...
not only financial freedom, but personal freedom which encompasses so much more.
Let me share that story with you.
I never really understood the term "success".
Growing up, I was always taught that to be successful, I needed to go to college and get a good job with a solid company, and then climb the corporate ladder.
Success was determined by the company you landed in, the JOB you secured.
To me, as a young adult, success meant financial wealth.
And it always seemed that the people around me had more of it than I did.
In high school, in college and in my early years of marriage and my engineering career, I never seemed to have disposable cash at hand.
Never could afford the things I wanted...
furniture (other than hand-me-downs), a new car, new clothing, money to eat out, you name it.
I realize now that I was focused on all the wrong things...
status, looks, and the things that I DIDN'T have.
I also understood that there was more to life than financial wealth, that it was important to be "happy", otherwise why bother? But that was the extent of it.
I couldn't take it much deeper than that.
I tried to think about whether or not I was "happy".
It seemed that on most days I was happy, and on some days I felt sad, or unmotivated or angry.
Well, on my path to success, I've discovered there is much more to personal freedom than financial wealth, happy feelings or physical possessions.
I now understand that to achieve ultimate personal freedom, you need to completely free yourself from self-limiting beliefs.
This helps you in so many ways.
It allows you to perform at peak performance.
It also allows you to fully understand yourself on a deeper level.
It opens up doors and opportunities that I never imagined were attainable.
Imagine a world with no fear, no worries and no regrets? To experience absolutely no hesitations for taking on any task, problem or desire? To have the utmost confidence in yourself that nothing stands in your way? What's what success is all about, friends.
The people who reach ultimate personal freedom are the ones who go on to achieving great financial freedom.
